Winter Tire Plans -- Changing My Recommendations

Years ago I was quite devoted to the "mission" of getting more people aware of how superb Finnish snow tires were, as represented by Nokian. However, as our winters have gotten milder I've turned from full-on snow tires to "all weather tires" and discovered that Nokian was... well, let's just say I'm not impressed:

As you can hear in the video above, the strategy was to alternate between sets of all-weather tires so that the newest (best tread) tires were for winter use and then rode out their tread as summer tires... except the Nokian WRG3 and WRG4 tires proved to be JUST AWFUL on wet roads.

After much research, I decided to try highly rated Michelin Cross Climate 2 as my new go-to all-weather tire, purchasing my first set unexpectantly after finding the Nokians had physically failed.
I put these on for last winter's use and then we didn't really get a lot of snow.  It makes it really hard to do a comprehensive review of how a tire performs in weather you don't actually get comprehensively...  so after a few months' of waiting I decided I owed yinz guys a review one way or the other, as explained here:

So there you have it.

Best I can tell (so far) my overall plan of alternating sets of all-weather tires is sound and I'm just changing shoes to Michelin--- and then my friends' generosity kicked in, and he offered me his departed S's Pirelli Sottozero snow tires!  SOOOooooo.....   I had a new project (trying some wheel dip) and now my plan is on at least a temporary hold as these snow tires need not go to waste!
